A response to the Harry Potter post

Harry Potter update...

I personally had lost interest in Harry Potter a long time ago. I have not finished the 5th book and have not even started the 6th one. I think they are really good books, I just don't have the time or patience to sit down and read the whole thing. And then if I don't read it all at once I forget about it and read lots of other books instead. Since this is the LAST one, I might try to read it. When I first started the first book, I hated it because of the way the aunt and uncle treated Harry, and I didn't feel the need to read any further. But then I picked it up again later and read it all and it was actually pretty good. Personally I think the question of will teens still read is really...odd. I'm always looking for new books to come out and I'm not killing myself waiting for the next Harry Potter. I definitely think teens will still read and I don't think Harry Potter would be the cause if they didn't. I guess my response is kind of biased because I'm not that big a fan of Harry Potter anymore. Anyways, thanks for posting the interesting article about it. ☺

Life after Harry Potter?

What do you think? Now that the last HP novel is coming out, will teens stop reading??? I doubt it, but why don't you take a look at this article from the Today Show (online) and see what you think!

Hi All!! Hope you are having a good start to the summer!!! To answer Melissa's question, the TAB meetings for the summer I think the second Friday of the month is as good as any. So for July it will be FRIDAY the 13th. ^___^ All the best.

I will try to make some of the summer meetings. Allison and I will be away from July 1-5 at camp. That's all I really know for now. Oh and some week and August I will be in Maine.

Next TAB meeting..
